Surrounding water features and ancient ruins mark its location clearly on the map.
Upon entering, use the Sheikah Slate to obtain the Magnesis Rune, which allows Link to manipulate metallic objects from a distance. Use this power to pull up two metal plates on the floor, revealing a subterranean path forward. Move the heavy iron block blocking the hallway and use the metal platform at the end to create a bridge, allowing safe passage to the monk.
Ja Baij Shrine: Bomb Trial Location and Solution
Situated in the eastern portion of the Great Plateau, the Ja Baij Shrine sits amid the crumbling stone walls of the Eastern Abbey ruins. Players should approach cautiously as active Decayed Guardians guard the surrounding area. Utilizing cover and sprinting between stone structures helps avoid targeting lasers when approaching the shrine entrance.
Inside, acquire the Remote Bomb Rune, which grants both spherical and cubic explosive charges. Use a spherical bomb to blow away the cracked stone wall directly ahead, then place a bomb on the moving platform to destroy another barricade across the gap. Finally, climb the launcher platform on the right side to reach a hidden chest before blasting through the final wall to finish the trial.
Owa Daim Shrine: Stasis Trial Location and Solution
Located high atop the snowy peaks in the southern region of the Great Plateau, the Owa Daim Shrine requires cold protection to reach safely. Players can prepare a spicy meat and seafood fry or wear the Warm Doublet to survive the freezing temperature during the climb. The shrine itself rests precariously near a sheer cliff edge.
After entering, extract the Stasis Rune to gain the ability to temporarily freeze dynamic objects in time. Freeze the rotating gear when the platform forms a flat bridge to cross the first gap safely. Further along, use Stasis on the rolling boulder, strike it repeatedly with a heavy weapon to build up kinetic energy, and clear the pathway forward.
Keh Namut Shrine: Cryonis Trial Location and Solution
The Keh Namut Shrine is positioned in the western snowy mountain area of the plateau, surrounded by icy waters and steep inclines. Like the journey to Owa Daim, reaching this location demands resistance against freezing weather conditions. Navigating carefully around freezing water hazards prevents unnecessary damage during the ascent.
Once inside, claim the Cryonis Rune to construct solid ice pillars on water surfaces. Raise an ice pillar under the iron gate to lift it upwards and pass through to the next room. Create a pillar beneath one side of the seesaw platform to reach the upper ledge where the shrine monk awaits.
